Pricing

ChillSense pricing has two pieces: a one-off hardware purchase (hub + sensors, or a bundle that combines them) and a per-sensor monitoring subscription with monthly or yearly billing on the same product page. The published prices below are GST-exclusive; the live storefront shows GST-inclusive prices.

The catalogue in this repo is the source of truth - if anything below disagrees with the shop, the shop wins.

Hardware

Single units and bundle packs. Bundles apply an increasing discount as sensor count grows.

Pricing rule of thumb: the bundle discount scales 0% / 5% / 15% / 25% keyed on sensor count (1 / 3 / 6 / 12). Bigger pack, better per-asset price.

Monitoring subscriptions

Each monitoring subscription covers a set number of sensors at a single site. Pick Monthly or Yearly on the subscription product page; yearly is priced as 10 months of the monthly rate (i.e. 2 months free for paying yearly).

Volume-discount rules:

• Baseline: $4 per sensor per month for 1-3 sensors.
• 4-9 sensors: 5% off the whole subscription (i.e. $3.80 per sensor per month).
• 10+ sensors: 10% off the whole subscription (i.e. $3.60 per sensor per month). Does not stack with the 5% tier; the 10% rule replaces it.
• Yearly cadence: priced as 10 months of the monthly rate at every tier.

Mix and match

If your sensor count does not match a pack size cleanly, combine packs:

• A 7-sensor site: 6-sensor pack + 1-sensor monitoring.
• A 4-sensor site: 3-sensor pack + 1-sensor monitoring.
• A 9-sensor site: 6-sensor pack + 3-sensor pack.

Combining hits the same per-sensor maths as buying a single appropriately-sized pack at the tier you cross into; you pay slightly more if a combo straddles a discount boundary, so when your site grows past a tier, swap the subscriptions over instead of stacking.

Sites with more than 12 sensors

For sites that need to monitor more than 12 sensors, talk to us about a custom plan - the standard ladder tops out at the 12-sensor pack and we'll quote a per-sensor rate at the volume you actually need. Contact Us.

Worked examples

Single fridge, just trying it out

• One-off: Starter Pack - $170.00 hardware.
• Subscription: 1-sensor monitoring - $4.00 / mo (or $40 / yr).
• First-year total: $170 + $48 = $218 (monthly) or $170 + $40 = $210 (yearly).

Typical cafe with 3 cold-chain assets

• One-off: Cafe Pack - $237.50 hardware (5% bundle discount).
• Subscription: 3-sensor monitoring - $12.00 / mo (or $120 / yr).
• First-year total: $237.50 + $144 = $381.50 (monthly) or $237.50 + $120 = $357.50 (yearly).

Restaurant kitchen with 6 cold-chain assets

• One-off: Restaurant Pack - $314.50 hardware (15% bundle discount).
• Subscription: 6-sensor monitoring - $22.80 / mo (or $228 / yr - 5% volume discount applied).
• First-year total: $314.50 + $273.60 = $588.10 (monthly) or $314.50 + $228 = $542.50 (yearly).

Multi-site venue with 12 cold-chain assets

• One-off: Multi-Site Pack - $555.00 hardware (25% bundle discount).
• Subscription: 12-sensor monitoring - $43.20 / mo (or $432 / yr - 10% volume discount applied).
• First-year total: $555 + $518.40 = $1,073.40 (monthly) or $555 + $432 = $987 (yearly).

What's included in every subscription

There is no separate "Reports" or "Alerts" SKU. Every active monitoring line entitles the covered sensors to:

• Continuous 24x7 temperature & humidity monitoring at the standard reporting interval.
• Inclusion in every dashboard view (dashboard & multi-site).
• Real-time alerts with sensible debouncing and escalation.
• Automatic monthly HACCP-ready PDF reports plus on-demand reports for any period.
• Historical data retention per the platform's standard policy (2 years raw, indefinite hourly, 5 years daily).
• Customer support during normal business hours; see getting support.

Billing and cancellation

• Payment terms are immediate on every invoice - the line is paid at checkout or on auto-charge of your saved payment method.
• Monthly plan: billed in advance each month. Cancel any line at any time; the change takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the sensor stops reporting. No minimum term.
• Yearly plan: billed once a year in advance, on a date that locks in at first purchase. Not refundable mid-term, but you can switch off auto-renewal at any time and the subscription will not renew at the end of the current year.
• Sensors without an active monitoring line stop reporting to the dashboard. Their previous data and the asset they were assigned to are preserved in case you reactivate.

Hardware is shipped from Australia and is covered by our standard 12-month replacement warranty.

Why this pricing model

A few principles we've baked in deliberately:

• No per-site fee. Hubs are hardware-only; you can add as many hubs as a site needs without changing the subscription.
• No per-user fee. Invite as many people in your business as you want.
• No "AI tier". Roadmap AI features ship to every active subscription, not as a paid upgrade.
• No long-term lock-in on monthly. Cancel any monthly line at end of period; no contract.
• No surprise upgrades. The shop catalogue is the live source of truth; what you see is what you pay (plus 10% GST as shown in the live shop).
