Cafes & bakeries
Cafes and bakeries are the most under-monitored cold-chain operators in Australia, and the most exposed to a single fridge failure: when the display fridge fails on a Sunday morning, the loss is high-margin stock and reputation, not just dollars on a balance sheet.
ChillSense fits a typical cafe in an afternoon and pays back the subscription roughly the first time it warns you about a fridge before stock is lost — usually within the first quarter thanks to AI drift detection.

Bakeries — humidity matters
Bakeries get two-for-one monitoring on the proofing fridge, chocolate temper cabinet, or cake display: every sensor measures temperature and humidity, so a separate humidity logger can be decommissioned.
Restaurants & pubs
A working restaurant kitchen has a different cold-chain profile from a cafe: at least one walk-in cool room, multiple prep fridges on the line, dedicated freezer space, plus dessert or bar fridges that always get forgotten. The risk per failed asset is bigger — a walk-in failure overnight can write off a five-figure stock holding.
