Sensor, hub, dashboard — three steps to continuous monitoring
A deliberately simple path from box arrival to live readings and alerts on every cold asset.
What we build
ChillSense pairs three things:
- Maintenance-light wireless hardware — a battery-powered sensor that lives inside or beside a cold-chain asset, and a small hub that connects the sensors at a site to the cloud.
- An Australian-hosted cloud platform — the dashboards, sustained-drift alerts, HACCP reports, and AI-assisted drift detection that turn the readings into operational signal.
- An evidence layer designed around the HACCP and food-safety record-keeping expectations that Australian regulators, supermarket buyers, and certifiers all care about — records that support audit preparation; acceptance remains the auditor's decision.
For the full architecture, see how it works.
What we believe
A few opinions baked into the product.
The platform should watch the assets so your team doesn't have to.
The 20-second start-of-shift glance at the dashboard is the only manual habit ChillSense expects from your team.
Alerts should be rare and right.
Noisy alerts are worse than no alerts because staff learn to ignore them. sustained-drift filtering, severity-aware escalation, and AI drift detection exist for that reason.
AI features are not a paywall.
Drift detection ships to every active subscription at no additional cost.
Australian-hosted matters.
Lower latency, no cross-border data transfers, and a clear escalation path are worth real engineering effort.
Evidence is more useful than records.
A pile of paper logs is records; an auditable per-incident trail with corrective actions attached is evidence.
Where we run
The ChillSense cloud runs on Australian infrastructure. Customer data is isolated per customer rather than mingled with anyone else's:
- Per-customer telemetry buckets in the time-series store.
- Per-customer dashboard org with its own datasource scope.
- Per-customer auth domain inside the identity provider.
- Per-customer report storage on the operational backups volume.
- AI models trained on fleet-wide patterns, but inference always scoped to your own assets.
Authorised ChillSense support staff can access your data to help with operations and troubleshooting; no other customer can. See the privacy policy for the full scope.
The team
ChillSense is built and operated by a small Australian engineering team. We do hardware, platform, AI, and customer support in-house rather than outsourcing; the same people who write the code answer customer questions.
If you want to talk to the team:
- Email: sales@chillsense.com.au for new business; the same address routes to support for existing customers and gets prioritised by your account.

Where ChillSense came from
ChillSense began inside Noshing — a family-owned dairy-free cheese manufacturer in Malaga, Western Australia — solving a practical problem: rising energy bills without asset-level visibility, and no early warning when a cool room drifted overnight.
The first deployments measured what was actually happening inside refrigeration equipment. The lessons — continuous history, actionable alerts, and evidence operators can act on — became the product. Today’s platform is still driven by what real Australian food businesses ask for, not by what looks good in a press release.
Working with partners
We are open to working with refrigeration companies, cool-room installers, equipment suppliers, and resellers who want to offer continuous monitoring alongside the service work they already do.
Trade terms are discussed privately — we do not publish wholesale rates on this site. If that sounds like you, see Partners or contact us and select a partner business type on the form.
How to evaluate ChillSense
The fastest way is to put a single sensor in your most worrying cold-chain asset and watch it for a week. Buy one [Sensor Monitoring](/shop/cs-sub-sensor-chillsense-sensor-monitoring-1-sensor-25) subscription per sensor — $8/mo or $60/yr (yearly saves $36/sensor).
One critical asset
Cafe / small kitchen
1 × hub + 3 × sensor + 3 × Sensor Monitoring
Working restaurant
1 × hub + 6 × sensor + 6 × Sensor Monitoring
