What's included
The Sensor + Monitoring add-on is the easiest way to bring one more asset online at a site that is already running ChillSense. It's the sensor hardware in a re-order-friendly product, ready to pair with a matching 1-sensor monitoring subscription (monthly or yearly billing, selected at checkout - or top up an existing multi-sensor pack instead).
When to use it
- You bought a new fridge, freezer, or display cabinet and want to monitor it.
- An asset you assumed was fine has been losing stock and warrants its own sensor.
- You want a second sensor inside a large walk-in to catch hot spots at the back.
- You are reactivating a sensor you previously paused, but the original hardware has been retired.
When not to use it
- You don't have a hub yet. A sensor on its own can't talk to the cloud - start with a Starter Pack or one of the larger bundles instead.
- The new asset is in a different building. Bring the sensor close enough to your existing hub at pairing time, then either keep it within wireless range of that hub or add a second hub to the site for coverage.
How it works
- Order the add-on through your account. At checkout, also add a 1-sensor monitoring subscription (pick monthly or yearly billing on the same product) - or skip if you'll top up an existing multi-sensor pack instead.
- When it arrives, bring the sensor close to your existing hub and pair it from the dashboard.
- The new monitoring line activates on the next billing cycle.
- Name the sensor for the asset it will monitor and move it into place per the placing sensors guide.
Add monitoring at checkout
The matching Sensor Monitoring (1 Sensor) subscription offers both cadences on one product page - pick monthly or yearly billing on the subscription product. No commitment on the monthly option - cancel any time. If you are about to cross one of the multi-sensor monitoring pack tiers, switching the subscription side to a larger pack will work out cheaper per sensor than adding more singletons. You can pause or cancel the monitoring line for this sensor at any time without affecting the rest of the site.
Just need extra coverage, not an extra asset?
If readings drop out or a far-side asset is unreachable from your existing hub, the fix is usually to add a second hub rather than another sensor. Additional hubs at the same site do not need their own subscription - the hardware purchase is the only cost.
